The winters were brutal, food was scarce and the settlers were starving. A group of seven men, with a team of oxen and a wagon set out to get food from Parowan, 40 miles away. Little Britches is one of the oldest, continuing rodeo associations. Member range from kids ages 5-18 in 26 states around the nation. At this Little Britches Rodeo event come watch as kids participate in rodeo events such as: roping (which includes team roping, calf roping, break away roping, and ribbon roping), rough stock, goat tying, barrels, poles, and flag races. Barrel racing is an exciting sport where horse and rider try to complete a cloverleaf pattern around preset barrels in the shortest time.  WPRA sanctioned barrel races with $500 added money each day will be held at the Triple C Arena on the following dates: May 20, June 24-25 (in conjunction with the Panguitch Valley Balloon Festival), July 15-16 and August 26-27.  Poles will be run after the barrel races conclude.  To download a pdf entry form click here.
