This year the Panguitch Main Street scarecrow contest will be open to all businesses and residents so get your scarecrows ready!  It will run for the month of October and judging will be October 14th.  Businesses compete for a traveling trophy (candy included to participants).  Residents will compete for Panguitch Bucks-1st $50, 2nd $35, 3rd $20.  Residents need to take a picture and email it to or take the picture to the city office before October 14th.  Residential pictures will all be posted on the wall at the city office where scarecrows will be judged from the photos; if needed the judges will drive to the winners home to look at the scarecrow.

New Year’s Party

Celebrate the New Year in Panguitch! Midas Whale of Season 4 of “The Voice” will sing amidst a carnival atmosphere. Beginning at 7:00 p.m. enjoy a dinner of fried chicken, salad, baked potato bar and dessert. There will be bounce house toys, a climbing wall, face painting and carnival games for the kids and BINGO and the featured entertainment for everyone. Only $5 per person or $20 per immediate family. Come join the fun!!

Looking for some great winter fun?  Come ice fishing at Panguitch Lake and win cash and prizes!  The Panguitch Lake “Big Fish” Derby is for all ages with prizes in both youth and adult divisions.  Registration for the derby closes on December 31, 2015 and the tournament begins January 2, 2016 and ends February 27, 2016.  There is a $20 entrance fee.
